Face Mask

You know how sometimes you know you should do something, and you have the best intentions, but by the time you can get around to it, you are just too tired or lazy to go to the trouble? We all know the importance of great skin care, including the occasional face mask, and we also know that it can be a big pain. I have a little skin care hack that ensures that I never go to bed without at least cleansing and moisturizing, even on those nights that I just want to fall straight into bed. I just can’t go to sleep without a clean face and freshly brushed teeth.

Skin Care Hack

That little skin care hack is simply to keep a pack of face cleansers and a jar of moisturizer in my bedsides table. That way, on nights that I don’t feel like doing my entire night time skin care routine, I can crawl into bed, reach for a cleansing towel, and thoroughly clean my face. Then I can grab my vitamin A cream and top it off with a good moisturizer. In less than a minute I can be reading my favorite book until I can’t keep my eyes open, which is usually about 3 pages in. It’s not that I don’t love to read. I really do! It’s just that escaping into another world is my favorite relaxation. When I lie down to read, I am out before I know it! The thing that I intend to do, and even talk about doing, is incorporating more regular use of face masks. I have used them, and have seen great results. I can easily spot people who regularly groom with diy face masks, or who are professionally groomed. That would be a very nice luxury, but since I have more of a diy budget, I chose to try a homemade face mask for acne. Yep! I woke up with the breakout of a teenager this morning. Why couldn’t it have been the metabolism and energy of a teenager instead? Well, you take what you get and go on with a smile! That breakout sent me straight to Emmy’s face mask video for help straight from my kitchen. Check out all of her great face masks, and then I’ll tell you what I did and how well it worked.

Isn’t she the best? she really does take great care of her skin, and it shows. She doesn’t need makeup at all, but she wears it when she wants to feel finished and a bit more dressed up. Beautiful skin doesn’t need to be covered up, and we can all improve our complexions with proper skin care. Sometimes we have issues that may need the help of a dermatologist and that’s ok! What ever it takes, it’s worth the effort!

My Face Mask of the Day

Are you inspired? I know that I am! What I decided on this morning, was a combination a homemade face mask for acne, a skin brightening mask, and a honey face mask. I was using al of the ingredients to make breakfast, so while my omelette cooked and my coffee brewed, I decided to apply breakfast to my skin! Crazy huh? Well that’ what my husband thought until I washed it off and he saw my noticeably more radiant skin! Not only that, after just a few hours I can already tell a lessoning in the breakout! What was this miracle concoction that I will be using again when I prepare tomorrow’s breakfast? It was simply a yogurt honey mask infused with some fresh squeezed lemon.Yogurt Honey Face Mask with Lemon

  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Manuka honey
  • A few good squeezes from 1/2 of a small lemon (this was to add to the skin brightening effect.
