Never Drive into Flood Waters

Authorities are asking residents to shelter in place and not attempt to drive on flooded road ways. If you do find yourself in rising flood waters in a vehicle turn around. If the car stalls, get to higher ground. As little as 6 inches of rapid water can knock over an adult, 12 inches of water can move a car and 24 inches can engulf a vehicle and sweep it away. On foot do not try to outrun rushing water, get to higher ground.

land developer 1-770-roofers national helpline

Land Developers and Building Contractors

When it comes to purchasing a new home or business, you will want to be sure that your property has been properly developed. There are many things to consider when choosing a neighborhood or that country paradise. We learned the hard way that our new home did not have proper water drainage. Our yard became a lake that, fortunately, would stop at our front door when it rained. We had to spend many thousands of dollars to fix that problem because we couldn’t risk the damage to our home should it come a huge rain that would pose the threat of flooding our house

The next home we built, we thoroughly checked the surroundings, the sewer system, made sure we were clear of the flood plain, and hired a trusted and vetted land developer and builder. We have had no problem at all, even though a portion of our property is in the 100 year flood plain, meaning it floods every year for 100 years apparently. Paying someone who is excellent in their field can save you thousands of dollars over the years on one of your most precious investments.
